**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern for employment in one of the Markham, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, Ottawa, or Whitby offices.

_The position is scheduled to begin in September 2023._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope

+ Collect and enter data and apply technical principles and theories

+ Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies

+ Be part of project team, which includes attending daily meetings, performing rudimentary analysis, and reporting

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math; or Civil or Electrical Engineering degree

+ Must have completed three years of study in the applicable program

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ A GPA of 3.0 or higher

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Access, Word, & PowerPoint)

+ Comfort with technology, apps, and databases

+ Solid written and spoken communication skills to execute the above tasks, including preparing technical reports

+ Familiarity with one or more of the following software packages: EMME, Dynameq, TransCAD, VISUM, VISSIM, Aimsun, Synchro/Simtraffic

+ Knowledge of computer programming
