**Job Description**

Are you ready to take the next step in your career and deliver outstanding cost consultancy services to clients in the public and private sector? If so, this exciting Quantity Surveyor role will give you the opportunity to put your career into high gear, challenge yourself, and extend your cost management experience.

As a junior/intermediate level Quantity Surveyor, you will focus on delivering cost management services to our key clients for vertical build and civil infrastructure projects. Building Services knowledge would be an advantage, but not essential.

Day to day, tasks will include:

+ Preparation of cost estimates for a range of projects based on design detailing relevant to the various stages of the design life cycle

+ Cost advice at all stages of the design, procurement and construction process

+ Cost inputs to risk registers and value management studies

+ Preparation of payment recommendations

+ Assessment of variation costs

+ Preparation of financial reports

+ General support and assistance to Senior QS staff

+ Delivering excellent service to clients in all aspects of a project life cycle

**Qualifications**

You will be a natural team player who can demonstrate:

+ 3 years’ post-graduate experience as a cost estimator / quantity surveyor / cost manager

+ Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients

+ Experience in the preparation of estimates from first principles

+ Knowledge and experience of Cost Estimating and Quantity Surveying software such as: Cost X

+ Operates with high standards of integrity

+ Excellent written and oral communication

+ Tertiary qualification

+ Member of RICS or NZIQS would be advantageous
