**Job Description**

**AECOM** is seeking a **Senior Financial Analyst** to be based in **San Jose, CA.** This position is open to remote work.

**JOB SUMMARY:**

The Senior Financial Analyst will work on one of AECOM’s major infrastructure programs. They are responsible for providing analysis, reconciliations, and reporting of client financial information. The position requires expert skills in the use of Microsoft Excel for development and support of methodologies, processes and practices specific to the management of budgets, funding and expenditures across the program and consistent with State and Federal statutory reporting requirements. Prior experience creating, interpreting and analyzing data pertaining to budgeting, grant management, expenditures, cash flow analysis and funding.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Month and quarter-end Finance and Administration reporting owning specific areas of analysis and being a back-up/reviewer for others.

+ Off-cycle conducts continual process improvements on all processes owned. Also, documents areas of responsibility.

+ Participates in developing new analysis and reporting processes

+ Ad hoc reconciliations and analysis

+ Performs some data entry into database applications, data analysis, and provides database report design recommendations

+ Work with others engaged in the preparation of financial reports and funding forecasts

+ Check for accuracy of data and methodology and perform financial reviews and analysis within assigned time frames

+ Maintain a high level of accuracy for data input and review

+ Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

+ Working within tight deadlines on a large infrastructure program

**Qualifications**

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related degree

+ 10+ years of experience plus years of experience in the finance and accounting field

+ Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships; respond appropriately to difficult situations

+ Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel

+ Strong Microsoft Office skills

+ Strong Communication skills

+ Experience with: Project Planning, Project Budgeting, Finance, Project Accounting, Financial Reporting and Funding Forecasting and Process Improvement

+ Offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $116087.33 - $214761.56
