**AECOM** is seeking an Engineering Intern to be based in Denver, CO.
This position is expected to begin in June 2023.
**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**
+ Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
+ Intern 2 – completion of second year of qualified study
+ Builds analytic and design skills.
+ Conducts engineering drainage design under the supervision of an experienced engineer
+ Creates drainage designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer
+ Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
+ Perform development of spreadsheets and data entry
+ Assist in processing of shop drawings – marking up drawings based on comments made by an engineer
+ Engage with other engineering disciplines to help deliver project work
+ Candidate must be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
+ Must have completed 2 years of study
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Basic knowledge of CADD and industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation)
+ Strong organizational, technical and communication skills
+ Ability to work independently or within a team environment
+ Sponsorship is not available for this position.
+ Relocation is not available for this position.
+ Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Colorado locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $18.59 - $25.55
