**Job Description**
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to provide in-house consulting services with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. The Senior Financial Analyst will consult daily with the client CFO and staff, advising and reporting complex financial statements, auditing processes and systems, GAAP and SOX accounting best practices and maintaining and assessing cash flow for current and future client work projects. You could be part of a dynamic team, working on a wide variety of high-profile projects across Florida. You would have opportunities to bring original ideas to the table on our plans and processes and be at the forefront of the future of transportation in the state of Florida. We are seeking a highly talented member for our consulting team that provides financial, engineering and transportation consulting to one of our largest Florida enterprise clients (one of the largest customer service providers in Florida).
Responsibilities:
+ Prepare complex financial statements, including a direct cash flow statement and footnote disclosures
+ Prepare research and impact reports on accounting promulgations and operational changes
+ Present complex financial reporting information to client senior financial team
+ Conduct internal accounting audits and analysis and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trended future requirements, operating forecasts and similar in-depth financial matters
+ Perform internal control and operational audits related to revenue and transactions of the organization and between nationwide toll agencies
+ Perform analytical tests to provide assurance that traffic and revenue reports are complete and accurate
+ Prepare traffic and revenue forecast for existing or new facilities, taking into consideration operating, demographic, economic and related factors
+ Prepare revenue loss estimates due to weather or traffic incidents based on all relevant system and operational data
+ Respond to internal, public and legislative inquiry on any traffic and revenue issues
+ May conduct needs assessment for audit and financial information systems
+ May be identified to lead project teams relating to accounting, financial and systems integration
**Qualifications**
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
+ 4+ years of related accounting and financial experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 8+ years of financial or accounting experience
+ CPA license
+ Consulting experience
+ Audit experience with public accounting firm or corporation
+ GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations experience and business interpretation analysis
+ Complex financial statements, cash flow and SEC filings experience
+ Knowledge of accounting and financial systems supporting financial and accounting requirements
+ Experience presenting financial data and accounting research to senior management
+ Ability to travel for special projects, if necessary
