**Job Description**
**CEI UTILITY COORDINATOR** -
+ Under general supervision, performs routine duties.
+ Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
+ Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
+ Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
+ Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
+ May provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
+ Serves as Utility Project Manager on a variety of transportation project types.
+ Provides all aspects of utility coordination, including coordinating with FDOT staff, design consultants, and utility/agency owners.
+ Attends project meetings and acts as a liaison between design consultant engineers and utility coordinators, utility/agencies owners, and FDOT to provide assistance, technical support, and coordination for utility coordination efforts and successful project completion.
+ Provides management of design consultant utility coordinators, including development of scope of services and staff hour estimates.
+ Ability to read and interpret plans, construction plans, surveys, Right of Way and easement maps, cost estimates, field notes, property descriptions, titles and deeds.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree plus 4 Years of related experience, or AA/AS plus 6 Years of related experience or HS/GED plus 8 years of related demonstrated equivalency of experience.
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Responsible for: Being knowledgeable of Department’s Standards, policies, procedures, and agreements.
+ Experience performing utility coordination in accordance with Department’s Standards, policies, procedures and agreements.
+ Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills: verbal and written.
+ Familiarity with the FDOT Utility Accommodation Manual and applicable utility guidelines, standards with functional knowledge of MicroStation/Civil 3D/ORD CADD software procedures.
