**Job Description**

AECOM Aviation Transportation Business Line is actively seeking a talented Senior Project Manager for our Aviation Southeast team. You will join a global aviation team of talented aviation project managers, planners and engineers specializing in North and South Carolina aviation clients. AECOM is recognized as leaders in aviation projects and continues to deliver high profile and impactful projects. The successful candidate will be joining a team that is actively involved in the delivery of aviation projects; airfield and landside planning, design and construction of regional, national, and international clients including significant aviation design projects.

**Job Summary/Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for supporting the growth, strategy, and sale of AECOM’s services to the Aviation market sector, including key strategic customers and partners in the Southeast Region

+ Works with the other business lines and market sector leaders in the region to support business growth.

+ Builds strong relationships and interacts with clients, teaming partners, industry groups, and stakeholders linked to the Aviation industry, serving as an ambassador for AECOM.

+ Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions, manages achievement of sales goals, gross margin, backlog, and other financial and business goals.

+ Responsible for developing civil airfield planning, design and construction improvement bid documents, working with experienced aviation planning and design staff,

+ Regular contact and direct supervision of planning and design team members, contractors, and subconsultants for ongoing planning, design, and construction projects.

**Qualifications**

Minimum Requirements:

+ BS Civil Engineering.

+ 10 or more years of airport/airfield planning or airfield civil engineering design experience.

+ 5 or more years of project manager leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Exceptional business development and client care skills and keen business acumen coupled with strong business development experience and solid technical skills in transportation projects developed within a professional services environment, with consulting engineering experience;

+ Strong leadership and group management experience and skills;

+ Outstanding communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally);

+ A trusted advisor and highly regarded leader who can garner client confidence.

+ Proven strengths in developing, executing, and achieving strategic and operational plans in a team environment.

+ Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
