**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking a talented, energetic mid-level application developer in the New York City Metro Area. This position will report to the Data Science and Analytics Manager in the Technology Services Department and support both internal and external clients within the Environment Business line. A successful candidate will support ongoing projects and new work with the directions from the senior developers. The ideal candidate for the position will demonstrate a working knowledge of application management; planning and design; development and testing; and deployment and maintenance support of delivered products.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Maintain and upgrade legacy systems developed by AECOM for various clients.

+ Assist in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new systems developed by AECOM.

+ Support database design, and data analysis.

+ Support evolving operations, help streamline work processes, and readily adjust to changing priorities while working efficiently alone and cooperatively with others.

+ Assists in business related activities and presentations.

+ May complete assignments of limited complexity, requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

+ Assist with the development of system documentation and training materials.

+ Must have the aptitude and ability to translate existing IT understanding to the company’s or client’s model of software development.

+ Follows documented software development standards and approaches.

+ Follows the defined visual style of the application.

+ Develops solutions based upon a defined specification and test plan.

**Qualifications**

+ BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

+ Two-years of secondary education or equivalent in training certificates in web development or computer programming.

+ Must be a US Citizen- Due to the nature of the work

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Understanding of relational database organization, design, and functionality.

+ Structured Query Language (SQL)

+ Angular

+ Ruby on Rails

+ React

+ Ubuntu

+ EDI / ETL

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps

+ Oracle PL/SQL

+ Microsoft SQL Server

+ Object-relational mapping (especially Entity Framework) Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS suite of desktop mapping and analysis tools and extensions.

+ Relocation is not available

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $87,000 - $150,000.
