**Job Description**
**AECOM** is currently seeking an Architecture Designer. The person will be responsible for managing multiple sustainable building design workstreams that reduce carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of owner’s facilities. This is a telecommute role.
**This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:**
+ Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project.
+ May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists.
+ May work on modest size projects and/or assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers with higher grades.
+ The candidate will be responsible for managing multiple sustainable building design workstreams that reduce carbon emissions and improve the sustainability of owner’s facilities.
+ The candidate will act as a SME for identifying, evaluating and standardizing construction materials, equipment specifications or building design changes that enable reduction in carbon emissions (embodied and/or operational emissions).
+ The candidate will serve as a member of the Sustainability team, ensuring that key milestones related to the integration of NZC design measures are well defined, resourced, and achievable.
+ The candidate will lead multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive the success of the NZC Program.
+ The role will be based in North America, and will need to work in PST time zone, but will have frequent calls within eastern, and central European time zones.
+ This position will not include any travel. Complete remote candidates will be considered based on merit.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS in architecture, engineering, + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 8+ years of demonstrated experience in building materials (concrete, steel and timber are preferred), sustainability and independent problem solving
+ 10+ years of experience in building design & construction experience
+ Proficiency with project management/information tracking software (e.g. MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.)
+ Strong competency with time management, organization, and attention to detail
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience with sustainable building standards and design processes
+ Advanced degree(s) in sustainability or engineering
+ Strong ability to learn quickly and independently, and take initiative
+ Experience with managing projects across multiple time zones and culture
+ Experience with remote team management and coordination
+ Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills
+ Strong time management and organization skill

+ Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is:$93k-$170k
