**Job Description**
AECOM Middle East are currently seeking an experienced Associate Director of Project Management, to join our Buildings team, based in Abu Dhabi.
The Associate Director will serve as a fully capable professional who leads a project management group and is responsible for the delivery of large-scale projects from bidding to execution that are within our budget, to the approved program and to the Client’s satisfaction. The Associate Director will act as interface between the external Client and our professional team and plays the role as mentor to the project management staff.
**Duties:**
+ Collaborate/communicate with AECOM Senior Management, Clients, Contractors and others using skills of persuasion and negotiation to resolve critical issues
+ Advise Building engineering teams of any changes in project delivery timelines
+ Develop knowledge of AECOM’s PDS procedures
+ Understand the time frame required for AECOM’s QMS system.
+ Attend Client and Design Meetings on a regular basis
+ Check Safety in Design exercise has been carried out on projects
+ Ensure that projects are completed on time and meet all requirements of the Design Brief.
+ Prepares and presents Healthy Starts and Technical Delivery/Project Execution Plans for each of their projects at commencement
+ Participates in scheduled reviews to check project deliverables for accuracy, efficiency and thoroughness ensuring delivery is as per Client requirements and Industry standards
+ Assists the Project Directors/Approvers in initiatives to develop procedures, presentations, etc. to increase efficiencies, knowledge and awareness across the Building Engineering practice
**Qualifications**
B.Sc. in Architecture, or Mechanical / Electrical Engineering FIDIC, NEC or other Construction Contract coursesInternational Accreditation (PMP, APM, CMI or equivalent)
**Additional Information**
+ Minimum 15+ years' experience
+ Proven related professional experience in a Project & Design Management.
+ Experience of working on large scale projects.
