**Job Description**

AECOM are currently seeking a Senior Associate of Architecture, to join our Design Studio. The Senior Associate will serve as a fully capable professional who leads a design team (circa 9 staff) and is responsible for the technical delivery of large-scale projects. The Senior Associate contributes to the development of the company by supporting the senior management team in the progressive evolution of AECOM’s design philosophy, research activities and technical development.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Responsible for key design input at early design phases and for general design leadership during the course of the project

+ Promotes teamwork within a multi-disciplinary team, maintaining positive morale and instilling a creative culture within the project

+ Assist Lead Designer/Design Manager with preparation of the overall Design

+ Oversees design work on large projects ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget fee

+ Take initiatives to develop design manuals, standard design documents, presentations, etc. to increase efficiencies, knowledge and awareness across the architectural practice

+ Assists with steering and influencing the design philosophy and approach of the company through support of the Associate Directors and Directors

+ Full understanding of Safety in Design requirements and able to develop the principals with the design team

+ Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community within AECOM’s Middle East offices

**Qualifications**

+ B.Arch. or B.Sc. in Architecture

+ International Accreditation (RIBA, AIA or equivalent)

+ Sustainability Certification (LEED, PQP or equivalent)
