AECOM’s Buildings and Places group has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer/Consultant to join our emerging Logistics, Waste & Circular Economy team in Melbourne.
The role is catered to an experienced consultant with a proven record of delivering best practice design outcomes, rounded knowledge of the design and planning process, and strong communication skills. You may be a:
+ Logistics and waste consultant looking to further develop skills in your field (ideal)
+ Waste management consultant looking to expand and grow your skill set
+ Traffic engineer looking for a change of direction while using many of your already developed skills

As part of a large, multi-disciplinary organisation, this role offers you the opportunity to work alongside local, national, and international specialists within the AECOM network, giving you broad exposure to a multitude of world-class projects being delivered by our team.
As a Senior Engineer/Consultant, you will apply your strong technical skills and knowledge to deliver a range of tasks, including:
+ Development of logistics and waste strategies for complex applications such as hospitals and airports
+ Detailed design of loading and logistics management areas, including capacity modelling for vehicles and stores
+ Material flow analysis for operations and infection control
+ Technical report writing and management of project delivery across a range of projects
Your role as Senior Engineer/Consultant will give you the opportunity to lead your own projects while gaining further experience and greater responsibility; providing leadership to team members on complex, large scale projects that deliver quality outcomes for clients.
As a Senior Logistics & Waste Consultant, you will also have the opportunity to work and grow within the Circular Economy team, focusing on integrating Australian infrastructure into the Circular Economy. Circular Economy integration projects focus on detailed modelling to design out waste, keep materials in use, and enable deconstruction at end of life.

+ Ideally, proven consultancy experience (4-7 years)
+ Proven experience in leading small to medium projects within a consultancy environment.
+ Demonstrated experience in delivering projects with large stakeholder groups such as hospitals, airports, and universities
+ Proactively identify opportunities for engagement with internal and external clients.
+ Experience authoring or assisting with bids and proposals.
+ Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor of Engineering (Preferred), Science, or Similar).
