**Job Description**
Due to a strong pipeline of work, AECOM is expanding its dynamic and market-leading rail team in Sydney. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced OHW Principal to lead and deliver our rail project pipeline to our key clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of professionals and be instrumental in delivering landmark projects within Sydney and across Australia.
The Principal Engineer role provides technical leadership to build and strengthen our professional and technical staff on complex, multi-disciplinary projects that deliver high-standard outcomes for AECOM clients. The role also provides the opportunity to be involved in client liaison, business development, and winning work. Principal Professionals also provide mentoring and career development for other team members, take lead, and collaborate with other parties, to produce project deliverables to agreed deadlines and standards.

Some of your role duties would include:
+ Perform a lead role in the design and coordination of OHW systems for new and existing railways, depots, track renewals, and turnout renewals covering Sydney Trains, TfNSW, and various ANZ transit projects.
+ Build, maintain and manage strong office, client, and stakeholder relationships through technical delivery excellence
+ Help lead or identify work-winning opportunities in order to grow AECOMs project pipeline within the OHW space
+ Ensuring that all activities are performed safely and comply with AECOM and Client's OH&S requirements.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, we would typically expect you to have:
+ Appropriate years' experience within the OHW discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary rail projects.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients around key dates
+ Experience preparing design models, reports and detailed drawings including the use of Bentley OpenRail or Bentley/AutoCAD products.
+ Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of output and ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for the quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines.
+ Knowledge of different OHW and traction systems, such as 25kV AC, 1500V DC, 750V DC Heavy Rail & Light Rail.
+ Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card.
+ Be a Chartered Engineer or be working towards a Chartered Engineer (EA, or other recognised Professional body).
+ Relevant Engineering Degree – Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
+ RPEQ / NER / MTM Competency qualifications - Highly regarded. If you are not already accredited and receive strong mentoring and support in order to progress your career.
