Cottrell & Vermeulen Architecture is an award-winning RIBA Chartered Practice with more than two decades of experience designing and building spaces for communities, institutions and individuals. Our portfolio of work spans a broad range of clients, stakeholders, budgets, timelines and sites, from small-scale but impactful community projects to working for central government, within large masterplans or framework design consortia, from constrained urban sites to suburban, rural and greenbelt locations. We draw directly on this experience to help clients engage with key stakeholders and evaluate strategic options. This helps us define a project vision together, understand what interventions and spaces will have the greatest impact in the long term, and make them integral to the project. We propose that the diversity of our work is a direct reflection of this approach to design. We are committed to designing buildings and spaces that are materially and socially sustainable. We have particular expertise in sustainable refurbishment, and aim to build in longevity, adaptability and robustness into all our work. We are a diverse practice with exceptional staff retention and a strong local connection through completed projects, peer design review and work experience programmes. We welcome enquiries from prospective clients, employees and collaborators from all backgrounds.
