As a learner, you'll get a few great benefits from being here:
Translation. To translate any of the text in this course, you can use the Reverso Context Google Chrome Extension in real-time by clicking on any of the words or phrases.
Using language to write attention-grabbing cover letters and emails. We'll discuss some of the common mistakes and how you can write an attention-grabbing opener.
How to use language to make your CV's stand out. We'll discuss a simple template, what language we use, common language mistakes and how you can quickly and easily fix them as well as powerful action verbs so you can vary the language you're using.
How to verbally present your portfolio. We'll discuss the most asked question - how to present your portfolio in an interview to impress your potential employers.
Mindset. This is a big one. We'll help you turn around your negative and self-limiting beliefs about your English and how you can go into an interview motivated and more prepared than you could imagine.
Breaking the Ice and Building Rapport. This is arguably THE most important part. We'll discuss how you're building rapport throughout your whole application process from writing your cover letter, explaining your portfolio and during the interview.
We’re here to get results, and we know you are too. Here’s the best way for each of us to get there:
Be supportive. Encourage and support your fellow students. No one here is looking for your criticism, cynicism, advice, or judgement.
Share generously. Your stories and experiences may be exactly what another student needs to hear today to solve a problem or seize an opportunity. At the end of some of the lessons, we invite you to share responses and examples to get feedback.
Be constructive. We’re here to push each other forward and lift each other. Find ways to help each other think bigger, reframe challenges, and stay curious.
Don’t spam, promote, or troll. This course exists to help you learn. It’s not a place to spam, promote, or bully anyone else.
