“Cowtropolis” by David Alvan

David Alvan is an MArch Architecture Graduate from Northumbria University currently looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assitant role in London.

His project ‘Cowtropolis' was nominated for the Ryder Architecture Prize for Outstanding Postgraduate Design project. He gained relevant industry experience during his year out at CHMRP Architects.

David's final thesis project Cowtropolis is a meat processing, education and retail hub supporting the production and consumption of local produce – cattle originating from Newcastle's Town Moor. The aim is to support and enhance Newcastle's agrifood supply sector, particularly during times like Covid and Brexit tariff uncertainty, alongside environmental and ethical factors.
