The purpose of this guide is for architecture students and designers to learn more about the concept 'Building a Second Brain' first conceived by Tiago Forte of ForteLabs. Productivity, time-management and working efficiently are integral skills for any university student. This guide will attempt to provide an alternate solution to stereotypical concepts such as all-nighters and overworking that is present in the architecture studio culture.
Building a second brain doesn’t need to be a textbook-style course or something that will take you years to accomplish.
The concept itself can be a way of learning, a starting point or just an informal collection of resources, notes and ideas. I've created a system that is specifically catered for architecture students who are often faced with multiple deadlines, projects and regularly have to store all kinds of information such as project references, images, drawings and even mundane stuff like timetables and briefs.
