We are currently seeking a Structural Engineering Designer to join our team. As a Structural Engineering Designer, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis, design tasks, and engineering modeling assignments for a variety of building types, sizes, and materials, as well as assisting project teams on assignments ranging from conceptual design to final construction documentation to construction administration.
You will work closely as a member of one or more project teams and assist in completing projects on aggressive schedules. All work must be performed in a clear, complete, and accurate manner. You will check Revit models for clearances, potential conflicts, and relationships of the various parts to the whole and to one another. Additionally, you will implement and utilize HOK Best Practices for projects and processes.
Actively seeking new knowledge related to structural engineering practices, principles, and regulations changes is essential. You will take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
Perform structural design and analysis for various structural materials, including steel, concrete, and concrete masonry.
Develop, modify, and review models, plans, details, and drawings of structural engineering systems and components according to established standards and Revit modeling techniques, based on input (sketches, layouts, and verbal instructions) from the structural engineering team. Organize and maintain models and documents for multiple projects. Utilize knowledge and experience in applying modeling principles for complete and accurate drawings. Produce drawing charts for schedules and data, making changes and adjustments as necessary with input from the structural engineering team as required.
Proficiency in Revit required, proficiency in BIM and AutoCAD preferred.
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location. The reasonably expected range for this position is $70,000 to $78,000. Other compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
