**Job Description**

The **AECOM** UK **Development Infrastructure** team in **Leeds** is looking for an enthusiastic **Civil Engineer** to expand its current team profile and capability.

The team support AECOM design teams throughout the UK and Ireland on a range of infrastructure projects with private and public sector clients of all types and across all sectors locally, regionally and globally as well as other internal and external multi-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

**Job responsibilities**

* Develop technical designs to support S38, S278 and S104 submissions.

* Undertake a variety of technical assessments for new development.

* Manage and undertake the gathering and review of planning data.

* Prepare or supervise the preparation of presentations and present information to internal and external groups.

* Manage small (or elements of larger) projects, managing the production of analysis and associated outputs ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.

* Provide updates to project managers/directors in terms of the progress of tasks in line with programmes.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements**

* Knowledge of S278 and S38 schemes including detailed highway design.

* Knowledge of S104 schemes including detailed drainage design and hydraulic modelling.

* Experience in the preparation and/or review of highways and drainage design.

* Experience in the building of and/or review of hydraulic models using Micro Drainage experience in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and/or RevIT.

* Experience in traffic signage and road marking for highways schemes.

* Suitable knowledge of relevant design standards including DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, local road standards and relevant national planning policy.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Bachelor’s degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering.

* Masters degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject - would be an advantage.

* Experience in using GIS software such as MapInfo or ArcGIS - would be an advantage.

* Full UK driver license.
