(GBR-Newcastle) CAD Technician

Stantec are seeking to recruit an experienced CAD Technician to join a team in our Newcastle office specialising in water projects. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy.

As a CAD Technician you will be self-motivated and responsible for supporting the Digital Delivery team locally and potentially UK wide. Working under a Regional Disciple Lead (RDL), you will provide technical design support to our Engineering team and play a key role in the successful delivery of our projects.

**Duties will include:**

+ Collaborating with engineers from multi disciplines.

+ Managing personal workload plans, establishing, and maintaining delivery deadlines.

+ Preparing project drawings and BIM models, understanding, interpreting, and implementing local client CAD standards and BIM data requirements.

+ Working within the Common Data Environments for your CAD data with ISO19650 compliance.

+ Core competency in products such as AutoCAD, Civil3D and Revit. Additional skills in Bentley apps like Open Buildings (AECOsim) would be advantageous

+ Expertise in both 2D and 3D CAD software products from Autodesk and Bentley.

**About you**

Ideally you will have a minimum HNC qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent subjects and have experience of working on water engineering projects. In addition, you will also have:

+ Experience of working in Common Data Environments using Data management Systems such as BIM360 and ProjectWise

+ Used Civil3D for earthworks and pipeline profiles.

+ Used Revit for creating, amending structures and plant.

+ Ability to organise your workload across multiple projects

+ Ability to mentor junior staff supporting your region
