**Job Description**
Are you an experience Senior BIM Technician looking to join a team that have an established track record of successfully delivering rail engineering schemes for more than 30 years throughout the UK, as well as supporting other disciplines with our specialist input?
If so, we are looking for an experienced Senior BIM Technician to join our team in Swindon.

The Southwest BIM team are currently looking to grow and expand their team after a host of successful project wins. BIM has become a huge part of the industry and the way that projects are delivered.
Our team help to administer and deliver BIM and Information Management solutions on multidisciplinary rail projects and to the wider AECOM business.
As a Senior BIM Technician you will carry out a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, this can range from -
+ Providing CAD/BIM support and mentoring to apprentice and junior technicians.
+ Maintain an overview of developments in CAD/BIM technologies, relevant BIM standards and Codes of Practice.
+ Implementation and guidance of client, company, and project CAD standards to team members as well as CAD quality assurance checks.
+ Training and mentoring of junior staff to develop skills within Bentley CAD applications for the implementation of schema design, parametric, dynamic cuts, and model management through use of Bentley software.
+ Provide support and guidance in design drawing, good practices.
**Qualifications**
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
+ You will have, as a minimum, experience of using Bentley Microstation Connect.
+ Ability to produce all 2D and 3D design information required for any type of structure.
+ Preferably with knowledge of Network Rail or relevant CAD Standards
+ Knowledge and understanding of BS1192:2007 and /or EN BS ISO 19650
+ Familiarity of Network Rail industry standards, for implementation of LOD and LOI model integrity through PACE and GRIP delivery.
+ An understanding of project survey snakegrids and Bentley managed workspaces.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Educated to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant subject, with a minimum 3 years’ post HNC experience desirable Ideally, you’ll be working towards TechEng or equivalent.
+ AECOsim, Bentley Building Designer or OpenRail experience is highly desirable, but training can be provided.
+ Working within a ProjectWise, common data environment, experience is highly desirable, but training can be provided on this
