Our Ireland Infrastructure Programme, Project and Cost Management Business Unit continues to grow, with a specific growth demand within the Infrastructure sector (Aviation, Rail, Highways, Water, Power, Ports) where we have successfully secured positions with many high profile clients and some key local projects and programs in the industry.
As a direct result of this growth, we are currently seeking a full time Associate Infrastructure Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor based in Dublin to support in our business growth. You will be part of an exciting new team supporting us to successfully manage and deliver various capital projects across Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the wider global AECOM. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception / business case through to completion / commissioning. The role will include all aspects of cost control / audit procedures, preparation estimates & tender documentation through the feasibility, design and procurement processes and onto the site delivery / commissioning phase. Chartered status, Degree status, Professionally Qualified, 10+ years post qualification experience
You should possess the skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage more junior staff. You will help develop collaborative relationships with our clients and other professional colleagues within the industry.
+ Day to day client point of contact for projects. Successful delivery of projects, leading to further repeat clients and their business.
+ Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are key.
+ Ability to develop long term relationships with all team members, and effectively balance people and processes.
+ Understands and can demonstrate the importance of Client focus.
+ Experience of delivering technically complex projects in the Sectors highlighted above from inception to completion.
+ Cost Management experience in the Water Sector would be a specific requirement.
+ Good understanding of project Governance and procurement processes
+ Normally receives general direction/instructions on new assignments.
+ Conducts surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, and underwater, using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments.
+ Operates and manages land-information computer systems, performs tasks such as storing data, making inquiries, and producing plots and reports.
+ Reviews information from survey teams regarding measurement of distances, directions, angles between points and elevation of points, lines, and contours on, above, and below the earth’s surface.
+ Researches legal records, looks for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyzes the data to determine the location of boundary lines.
+ Records the results of surveys, verifies the accuracy of data, and prepares plots, maps, and reports.
+ An experienced professional with full understanding of area of specialization.
+ Works on complex problems of diverse scope.
+ Good understanding of NEC contracts and experience administrating NEC3/4 forms of contract
+ Experience of working in another comparable consultancy environment, or within a client organisation would be preferable.
+ Clean driving licence and car ownership
Chartered status, Degree status, Professionally Qualified, 10+ years post qualification experience
Having Cost Management experience with a consultancy would be an advantage as would Aviation, Water and Rail Sector experience.
