Overview:
At Zaha Hadid Architects, we are seeking a Accounts Assistant to join our growing team in London on a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract. In this position, you will support the Accounts team by handling tasks delegated by all team members. You will be responsible for accurately recording accounting entries across our complex, multi-currency, and multi-company ledgers, where accuracy is crucial. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the team to ensure seamless financial operations while gaining hands-on experience across various areas of accounting.
Main responsibilities:
- Process purchase ledger invoices accurately.
- Conduct bank and financial reconciliations.
- Assist in the processing of staff expense claims, including verifying receipts and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage incoming post, including opening, scanning and distributing to team.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company procedures.
- Monitor the accounts email inbox.
- Provide support with ad hoc accounting tasks as delegated by team members, gaining exposure to various aspects of the accounting function.
Skills Required
Required
- A level standard education as well as GCSE passes in Maths
- Excellent time management skills and organisation skills
- Proven MS Excel experience at an intermediate level
- Strong numerical skills & data entry accuracy
Desirable
- University degree in Maths/Accounting or in a related subject
- Experience of Sage or other similar accounting packages
- AAT level 2 or level 3 completed
