Here's how we work:Arcadis IBI Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Architecture) to assist in the coordination and management of projects with an engineering and architecture focus. Working alongside the Project Manager to ensure delivery and functionality of the projects. An opportunity that will call upon your project management, communication and creative skills to assist on the overall success of a project.Our teams are currently working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic and will be for the foreseeable future. We are following the provincial procedures before considering returning to the office. On a weekly basis, managers have touch base meetings with their teams to discuss the progress of projects or any issues that they have encountered. We continue to emphasize wellness for all our team members and have added to our comprehensive list of benefits to support this further.Most of the things you’ll work on:Assist Project Managers in the performance of their dutiesEnsure projects are coordinated and managed in compliance with client and corporate requirementsMaintain project documentation and library (electronic and hard copy)Ensure document control and quality procedures are followedEnsure adherence of project team members to project plans (e.g., project management plans, schedule, communication plans)Update project managers on project budgets, burn rates and risk pointsManage scope; alert team to missed or out-of-scope activities; assist in preparation cost estimates to support project change ordersTrack and report project progressSupport project managers and other team members by facilitating project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference calls, and so forthTake meeting minutes identifying action items and follow-up on actions with responsible team membersPrepare project updates for project manager and the client, including presentations, status reports, and risk and action registers, as necessaryPrepare proposals, fee letters, and additional service requests You'll need to have: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in with ArchitectureRegistered with or eligible to register with AIBC5 years of project coordination within a related fieldExperience working within teams in a similar capacity; providing support to multiple projectsExperience in maintaining project documentation, particularly project management tracking toolsExcellent written and verbal communication; able to communicate effectively and follow up with staff at all levels of an organizationExcellent professional and proposal writing skills Excellent time management and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsSelf-motivated and willing to learnHighly collaborative and a strong team playerExperience with MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project, MS SharePoint (desirable)Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Indesign and various graphic softwareAdditional InformationOur employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
