Arcadis IBI Group is seeking an Associate Director, Projects to join the Canadian Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). Reporting directly to the Business Area Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of projects to meet time, quality, budgetary and health and safety targets. If successful, you will also be responsible for all aspects of the client relationship so that delivery meets or exceeds client expectations. You will take a leadership role with the project team, providing both direction and technical advice and leading by example where appropriate, while promoting both the regional and global culture of the business.The Things You'll be Responsible for:Providing sound and effective leadership to the team, providing direction and technical advice, leading by example to achieve company goals and championing a quality cultureCommunicating with team members to ensure that they understand, and become engaged with, the project strategy, brief and client requirementsDeveloping and managing the Project Program and obtaining the buy-in of all stakeholdersEnsuring that effective financial and project management controls are in place and deployed to enable monitoring, modification and forecasting as appropriateContinually looking to enhance productivity through improved processes, procedures and systemsMaintaining an overview of the commercial aspects of the project (contract, invoicing, debt, client management)Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to ensure that all parties are kept informed on all relevant matters impacting and influencing projectsManaging the acquisition, deployment and management of resources for the project to ensure optimal resource allocation for the projectDirecting the assessment, selection and management of suppliers, sub-consultants and contractors associated with projectsDriving project performance, service delivery and technical and commercial outcomes and undertaking reviews, ensuring client delivery is above expectationEnsuring that completed engineering and documentation work is reviewed for technical, Arcadis and client complianceEnsuring risks are proactively identified, assessed and managed to avoid adverse impacts on the projectWorking to ensure maximum client satisfaction, championing client care and proactively working with the clientReviewing the performance of team members and developing them to their full potentialEngaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD)Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager or Arcadis IBI GroupYou Need to Have:Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university15+ years of Project Management experience as well as 10 + years experience in Transportation EngineeringP.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferredExperience with MTO is considered an assetPostgraduate qualifications in business, finance, or project management related areas an advantageExperience in leading design in a consultant organisation and working in a tendered design services environmentSound commercial background, including familiarity with contractual conditions and procedures, including international conditions and ability to take commercial responsibility for a projectExperienced in leading, and working with, people from varied backgrounds and cultures Additional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group :Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
