In addition, you will be part of a global network of office-focused BIM experts operating under local and global Design Technology leadership You would be part of an overall mission focusing on cross-sector synergy, empowering global work-sharing, standardisation and optimisation, as well as shepherding cross-sector collaboration and data harnessing throughout a project’s lifecycle.Located at 55 St. Clair Ave West, this office is steps away from St. Clair station and is easily accessible by bike, TTC and car. Occupying 7 floors, with over 700 employees, the floors are open concept and represent our collaborative approach to projects.Role Accountability:Be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising performance, operating in a leadership capacity to assist the BIM Team for both Design and Production Monitor coordination and troubleshooting, and act as a subject matter expert on BIM (BIM authoring tools (Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D, etc.) Revit, Civil 3D, etc.) related issues while maintaining best practices Coordinate with Project Managers to define the project's needs - ensure integration with Designers to strengthen the implementation of BIM within the overall Project deliveryAct as an ambassador for BIM activities across the OrganisationPerform various BIM tasks such as producing, reviewing and managing project models and associated deliverables (drawings and documentation) Develop and check models to ensure they meet our internal, project and Clients’ BIM GoalsEnsure projects have a defined BIM Execution Plan and champion fulfilment of the plan throughout the project’s lifecycleApply advanced / new technologies within a project's BIM solutionUse comprehensive knowledge and skills to act independently while guiding and training others on achieving full compliance with applicable rules and regulations in management and / or operationsQualifications & Experience:Recognized Architectural / Engineering, Technologist, Buildings / Infrastructure or BIM focussed Diploma and / or DegreeCertification with a National or International BIM agency body (CANBIM BP3 or CP or ISO accredited certification for example)7+ years of experience in BIM technology support role in the A / E field including production and coordination, ideally this would be within Ontario where you will be familiar with local processes, codes, regulations and requirementsExperience providing expert competence across multiple disciplines and sectors / sub-sectors, acting as an advocate for teamwork and collaborationExpertise with Revit Architecture, Revit Structure and / or Revit MEP as demonstrated by sophisticated use of softwareFamiliarity with interoperability between Revit and other disciplines-specific software programs, demonstrating awareness of the differences between BIM for Building, Civil and PlantExperience in 3D design and multi-discipline coordination, managing models and facilitating data-exchangeAdvanced communication skills to aid generation of a team-based working environment, the building of best-practice and for coordinating the work of othersAbility to interact with external entities (clients, owners, agencies) to interpret and understand desired BIM or CAD delivery requirementsYou will be strategic in outlook, analytical in thinking, inquisitive and attentive to detailAdditional InformationWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
