Here’s how we work:Arcadis IBI Group is where personal growth happens. We are seeking a Civil Engineer for our Edmonton, Alberta office. With an established presence in the Edmonton region, we are continuing to impress their clients and improve the urban environment by providing high quality engineering services for the Municipal Engineering sector with a focus on transportation projects. This role would require design skills using Civil 3D & AutoCAD specifically for municipal projects and integrations with transit infrastructure. You will have experience with designing linear infrastructure and public spaces. Most of the things you’ll work on:Provide civil engineering design and technical support for municipal infrastructure projects;Responsible for calculations, model creation and drawing production review;Develop plans, section details, associated engineering reports, and contract specifications for a wide variety of projects;Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed cost estimates;Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy;Assist with the delivery of technical designs within cost, schedule and quality parameters objectives of the project; andWork with other engineering disciplines and technical specialists to develop full design packages.You'll need to have:Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering;Registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA;6-10 years of municipal infrastructure and roadway design and construction experience at increasing levels of responsibility;Experience with integrating new civil site works with existing infrastructure will be an asset;Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design purposes is required;Working knowledge of stormwater analysis and design;Task oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skillsA commitment to excellence and high-quality work with a strong attention to detail and accuracy; andAbility to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients.Must have a valid Class 5 driver's licence for occasional travel to project sites and out of office meetings.Additional InformationWhy work with us:Our downtown location is surrounded by convenient LRT stations, bus stops, and paid parking lots.
