Arcadis is looking to hire a Document Controller to support industrial construction projects in automotive sector with our Places Team business unit in our north Mexico area at the client site location in Saltillo Coahuila. This is an on-site role for a large client of the automotive sector. Our site supervision team is responsible for the position. The position will manage all aspects of document control while also providing administrative support to the project team and executives. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in construction projects and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills.Responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient document control system to manage project documentation, including drawings, contracts, permits, reports, correspondence, and other relevant documents. Ensuring all project documents are up-to-date, accurately filed, and easily accessible to authorized personnel. Applications without these attachments will be rejected.Position on a project-based contract basis with the possibility of extending it to an indefinite contract within the companyFull time (40 hrs pw Monday to Friday)This position is located on the client’s siteRole accountabilities:Establish and maintain an effective document control system to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of all company documentsClassify, index, and catalog documents according to established proceduresMonitor and update document revisions, ensuring that all obsolete versions are archived appropriatelyCollaborate with various departments to ensure that all documents meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulationsConduct regular audits to verify document accuracy, completeness, and complianceProvide training to employees on document control procedures and best practicesOffer support and guidance to staff regarding document creation, storage, retrieval, and disposalWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless flow of information and documentationFacilitate communication between different departments to resolve document-related issuesIdentify opportunities for process improvement within the document control systemStay updated on industry best practices and implement changes to enhance document control proceduresKey Attributes:Proven experience as a Document Control Specialist or in a similar roleKnowledge of document control standards and regulations in construction industrial projectsProficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with quality management systems is a plusAble to work independently including trouble shooting and reporting resultsCompetency with construction-based project management/documents systems (Autodesk BIM 360, Think Project, Procore) or similar.
