Arcadis IBI Group's Markham location is searching for a Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join its growing Water Facilities team. As an I&C Engineer you will be participating I&C systems’ design for water and wastewater utilities including pumping stations, reservoirs and treatment facilities. As a member of the multidisciplinary design team you will engaged in the preliminary and detailed design of I&C and SCADA systems for new installations and upgrades to existing systems for water and waste utilities.Most of the Things You’ll Work On: Assess options and technologies and prepare technical memoranda and reports; Prepare preliminary and detail design drawings, specifications and cost estimates;Prepare condition assessments and needs assessments for existing I&C systems;Participate in the development of Process Control Narratives, P&ID drawings, Operations and Maintenance Manuals and Training ManualsOversee PLC programming tasks;Provide input into HMI and SCADA design;Participate in software implementation, validation, testing, troubleshooting and commissioning;Assist in the development of proposals including developing engineering fee estimatesProvide support during construction including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, conducting site inspections, preparing and reviewing test/ commissioning plans and participating in system testing.Coordinate the I&C/ SCADA design with the internal multidisciplinary team, manufacturers/vendors and client. You'll need to have: 3-5 years of experience in the design of I&C/ SCADA systems for water and wastewater utilities is MUST!Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/I&C Engineeringcapable of getting certified as a Professional Engineer of Ontario in good standingStrong skills in the use of CAD systems including AutoCad and MicrostationStrong skills in the use of the REVIT modeling system or a willingness to learn REVIT is requiredStrong written and verbal communications skills Additional InformationArcadis has officially purchased IBI Group and with this transaction now complete, IBI will now be known as Arcadis IBI moving forward.
