Are you looking for a place to grow your professional career?Working within our Design & Engineering teams, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening public places that bring people together.Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.Role accountabilities:Design and engineer industrial systems such as compressed air, lubrication, fueling  systemAbility to express design intent as concept drawings or sketchesComputerized analysis of heating and cooling loadsDesign and engineer building related systems such as HVAC, process exhaust, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, etc.Design and machine installation utilitiesConceptualize and Prepare industrial layoutsDevelop and write engineering study reportsKnow applicable codes and apply to design developmentEnergy analysis using computer modelingVerification of and compliance with energy standardResponsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projectsDevelop man-hours for proposal estimatesMake technical presentation to clientsDevelop business with current and new clientsInvolvement in engineering societiesCoordination of staffing needs for projectsProvide technical training/education to staffQualifications and Experience:5 - 10 years experience in Mechanical design of industrial, and transit facilitiesA strong background in industrial / automotive facilities and areas is an asset. Licensed member of PEO (P. Eng.) preferred Well versed in AutoCAD MEP, Micro Station, Revit, 3D software, etc.Excellent oral and written communication skills for internal and client interactionAbility to organize and handle multiple project assignments.Ability to provide leadership to groups of engineers and designers on projectsLegally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Demonstrated experience working with clients, contractors and other consultantsExcellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Plumbing Code, NFPA and ASHRAE standards and familiarity with, TSSA Fuel, industrial ventilation standards and other industrial  standardsAdditional InformationWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
