Arcadis is seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer for our Mobility Engineering practice. Based in our London, ON office, the successful candidate will have a strong background in Municipal infrastructure planning and transportation design. This opportunity will be founded on the utilization of skills in leadership and mentoring staff, collaborating with team members, business development and client interaction across Ontario. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.Role Responsibilities:As a Municipal Roadways, Team Lead, your role accountabilities will include:To function as a Group Manager for a small but growing municipal design engineering group and act as Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager on civil infrastructure projects with focus on detailed design for municipal infrastructure and municipal transportation facilitiesPrepare designs and contract specifications for a wide variety of projectsManage staff productivity and utilizationMentor staff and project teamsSupervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projectsFoster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus Lead and direct business development activities primarily in the London, ON area including preparation of proposals and statement of qualificationsParticipate in and/or lead project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budgetClient liaison and business developmentQualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityAt least 10+ years of Civil Engineering experience in the consulting services industry including roles with management and business development responsibilitiesP.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) is requiredExperience with all aspects of preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure and municipal roadwaysFamiliarity with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process an assetFamiliarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads and Civil3D an asset Familiarity with Southern Ontario and London, ON Region area market conditions, and more specifically the public and private sector client base in and around the London, ON Region areaAbility and desire to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients Excellent technical understanding and strong verbal and written communication skills are expectedHighly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed in an established teamwork environmentKeen analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, remote communications tools, collaboration tools and applications including SharePoint and the full suite of Microsoft Office products including Microsoft 365Additional InformationWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
