We are looking for an Associate Principal of Architecture with experience in delivering high-rise projects from start to finish.  This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative mind to take on dynamic and challenging projects and be part of project leading the creative design initiatives on high-rise projects both locally and internationally.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, experience project leading and managing teams on large complex projects, be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative design ideas, will offer a robust design portfolio showing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process.**Please note that this role will likely require you to work in a hybrid working model with some time working from home and in the office.Most of the things you’ll work on:Work with the global sector lead to manage and grow the practiceLeverage your existing experience and relationships with the global experience of the firm to grow your respective marketDevelop and maintain key relationships within our internal organization.Develop and grow client relationships primarily in Urban Mixed-Use development, high-rise residential, hospitality and commercial office sectors, primarily in the greater Greater Toronto areaDevelop and maintain key contacts in the Building PracticeReview proposals and participate in client presentationsInspire confidence as a subject matter expert in the mixed-use /urban development sectorProvide high level guidance for complex projectsHands-on involvement with project design, and design developmentDesign coordination, and oversight of preparation and delivery of project documents on an as-needed basisMotivate, mentor, and delegate work to staffYou'll need to have:Architectural Degree from an accredited program, Masters’ degree is preferredLicensed Architect with current registration in OntarioAbility to think strategically and with an equal interest in business and practice issues with 15 years of experienceExisting relationships in the following private sectors; mixed use residential, commercial, hospitality, and retail within the Toronto MarketExperience with large complex projects within a large multi-disciplinary practiceStrategic thinking leadership skills, with an ability to connect business with practiceComprehensive understanding of project coordination and related requirements of all disciplines, under demanding deadlinesProject experience and familiarity in software programs such as Revit and CAD are requiredDemonstrate creativity, passion and interest in design, design technology and planningExcellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skillsAll candidates MUST submit a portfolio with their applicationAdditional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group :Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
