We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager/Project Engineer, Land Development with extensive experience in the planning, design and management of civil engineering projects for community developments in the province of Alberta to join us in our Calgary office.In this role you will be responsible for undertaking various detailed studies and writing reports relating to stormwater management, water distribution system and wastewater collection system infrastructure and other environmental matters.You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated and context sensitive solutions.We work with our clients around the world to create, support, and enhance smart, safe and sustainable places where people live, work, learn and thrive. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.Role Accountabilities:Working directly with our team of engineers and technologists and field services teams towards the completion of civil construction projects, you will interface with clients, determine their project needs, manage the preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clients including developers, cities, counties and water districts. Additionally, you will lead and manage the design effort of public infrastructure roads, sidewalk, stormwater and utility improvements as well as plans for subdivision development. As the lead in the management of these land development projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering will be key in your responsibilities, and you will be instrumental in the coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists.Licensed (P.Eng., P.Tech, P.L.Eng. ) Civil Engineer OR TechnologostRegistration with APEGA as an Engineer (P.Eng.) is preferred5 – 8 years experience in engineering including project design, construction supervision, and project management in the Land Development sectorWorking knowledge of/some experience using Civil 3D software.Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable.Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional InformationWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
