We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager/Project Engineer, Land Development with extensive experience in the planning, design and management of civil engineering projects for community developments in the province of Alberta to join us in our Calgary office.In this role you will be responsible for undertaking various detailed studies and writing reports relating to stormwater management, water distribution system and wastewater collection system infrastructure and other environmental matters.You will work collaboratively with other design disciplines to provide integrated and context sensitive solutions.Most of the Things You’ll Work on:Work directly with our team of engineers and technologists towards the completion of civil construction projects, working with our Design and Field Services teams.Interface with Clients, demonstrate firm’s capabilities, determine clients’ needs and prepare proposals based project scope and estimated fees.Preparation of construction documents, calculations, and reports for public or private clientsExperience with single site and municipal type projects.Experience with the development of construction documents for private and public sector clients including developers/cities/counties/water districts etc.Lead the design effort of public infrastructure roads, sidewalk, stormwater and utility improvementsLead the design effort of subdivision master plans, grading plans, and utility plans for new developments and redevelopmentsLead the preparation of development cost estimates and contract award.Participate during the construction of the project to assist in the successful completion.Proficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.Working with municipalities on permit applications and approvals.Management of projects, contract administration, construction management, and design engineering.Coordination, supervision, mentoring, and management of junior engineers and technologists.Perform construction administration and general construction supervision duties.You’ll need to have:Licensed (P.Eng., P.Tech, P.L.Eng. ) Civil EngineerRegistration with APEGA as an Engineer (P.Eng.)5 – 8 years experience in engineering including project design, management, construction supervision, and project management in the Civil Water Resources SectorProficient skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.Experience completing hydrotechnical assessments and hydrology as well as use of hydraulic modeling software is desirable.Self-motivated, with good leadership, project management and client management experience; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdditional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group:Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
