Our specialist team has been recognised for designing best-in-class buildings and for its skills in Service User co-design and engagement. We are regular contributors to Mental Health Design fora and conferences and work closely with our specialist design research and innovation team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Mental Health design.This challenge will give you the opportunity to design projects in the Mental and Community health, Senior Living and Wellbeing sectors. You will join a highly creative, collaborative and inclusive team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.You’ll be developing briefs, coordinating the design and construction phases of projects of varying size, delivering high quality architectural solutions and leading elements of large and small projects independently while supporting the Studio management team with input to programming and resourcing reviews. In addition to designing and running projects, we are looking for a client facing individual who is capable of fronting bids for new work and who is looking for a career path offering an opportunity for advancement.This challenge will give you the opportunity to focus on a range of projects for a growing, diverse client base. In this position, you will join a highly creative, collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence.Duties and Responsibilities:Leading the design and development of projects of significance and managing a supporting team. The role will be a leading client facing role.Coordinating contract documents, design / consulting teams and follow projects through to completionWork on all aspects of projects: design development, working drawings, contract administration, client relationships, team communication and on-site servicesSupporting and leading on projects with responsibility for programme and budget management, effective time and resources management whilst promoting best practice & knowledge within the Studio and across the wider practiceManage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with other disciplinesManaging client relationships and team communication (including project teams and budgets)Process change control requests during construction and address RFIResolve complex technical and design issuesMaintaining project documentation, drawings and specificationsInterfacing with statutory authorities during the design and construction phases of projectsDeveloping, applying and promoting excellent people-management practicesConduct on-site inspections and document site reviews, interface with statutory authorities during the design and construction phases of the projectUnderstand and adhere to procedures including quality management and environmental management systems and health & safetyContribute to the business development activities of the Studio and Region, supporting in the preparation of proposals, submissions and presentationsResponding to invitations to bid for new work, contributing to the preparation of proposals, submissions and presentations and attending interviewsPromote the use and continuous development of appropriate systems, procedures and protocolsRIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered5-10 years post qualification experienceA working knowledge of Revit and BIM experienceYour experience must include recent sizeable UK projects and schemes in the Mental Healthcare sectorExperience of working on larger projects as part of a team and day to day leadership for smaller projectsNaturally you’ll have a strong knowledge of building regulations, design standards and best practiceStrong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship-management skillsAdditional InformationAs an Equal Opportunities Employer, we are proud to support the growth and equality of our people through initiatives including a Mentorship Program, our Group Global Women’s Network and a Diversity & Inclusion Council.
