We are looking for a Senior Architect with experience in delivering complex projects from start to finish. Role Responsibilities:As a Senior Architect (Team Lead) in the transit studio, your role accountabilities will include:Lead and manage large, complex projects and project teamsContribute to the process of creating and developing the fundamental design principles to guide a project from the earliest stages of its conception and continue to assist in its development and refinement through subsequent design and implementation phasesAs a member of the senior design team, collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance Arcadis’ Transit Architecture Studio’s culture for design excellenceAssist with preparing Business Development (BD) proposals in bidding for new workDevelop one-year, two-year, three-year business plans collaboratively with the Transit practice leads.Establish a transit-focused design practice in Vancouver which will be able to support other geographic regions from the outset.Develop and lead a studio of transit professionals, eventually totaling approximately 5-6 people.Work from the Vancouver office minimum 3 days per weekQualifications and Experience:Minimum University Degree in ArchitectureMinimum of 10 years of relevant experience in an architectural studioMinimum 5 years’ experience in leading project teams and managing large, complex interdisciplinary projectsExperience with Transit or P3 public-facing projects preferred.AIBC Registered Architect or Intern ArchitectMUST INCLUDE: portfolio in PDF or Weblink along with a Cover Letter is expected with your applicationCreative and collaborative with demonstrated proficiency and passion for designing and detailingDemonstrated proficiency through all phases of project development; taking projects from inception to completionCompetent knowledge of building codesCompetent knowledge of specificationsHighly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly motivated with the ability to work independently within a collaborative teamProactive and detail orientedAnalytical thinker and problem solverDesire to grow, mentor, and inspire a teamExperience in transit station design will be considered an assetExperience on large, multidisciplinary teams will be considered and assetThe salary range for this position is CAD $130,000 - $160,000 per year.Additional InformationWe can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
