Arcadis IBI Group’s Southfield, Michigan office is seeking a licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team. This role is going to be a key position within our Mechanical Engineering group. This is a leadership role, where you will be overseeing a small team. Most of the things you’ll work on:Responsible for client contactdirection to junior staff,Design HVAC layouts as your own workcoordinate with other disciplinesdevelop and watch the budgetmake presentations to potential new clientsYou'll need to have: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering7-15+ years of relevant HVAC and plumbing engineering experienceRegistration as a Mechanical Engineer with any state in the US, or ability to obtain registration in a quick turnaround time. Ability to work independently and produce the expected results, with general instructions/guidance from Project ManagerCommitment to meeting project deadlines, often times under stringent time constraints Time management skills for working on several projects at once, prioritizing urgent tasks in line with project schedule requirementsWillingness to learn new energy efficient system designWillingness to get involved with engineering and plumbing societiesPiping design skillsControls design skillsRevit skills are a plusLEED accreditation is a plus.
