Transportation planning specialist to lead/manage transportation and rapid/public transit planning activities and to contribute to the overall transportation planning practice by working on major rapid transit and transportation projects around the GTHA and Canada. The range of work includes transportation and transit master plans, transportation infrastructure project feasibility and planning and implementation plans, transportation economics and equity, among other areas.Most of the things you'll do:Manage/lead transportation studies including supervising staff and undertaking and overseeing project tasks.Conduct transportation planning tasks including network analysis, data analysis, policy analysis and operations analysis, and development of transportation plans and policies.Assist on major transit/transportation studies, involving the need and justification for new transportation projects, analysis of alternatives, transportation system/network planning and operations, transportation master plans, new mobility choices, and sustainable transportation.Attend meetings including chairing meetings, communicating with and responding to client requests, and making presentationsYou'll need to have:Post-secondary education7 or more years of related public transit/transportation experience in the work environment Experience in leading transportation/transit plans for public transportation and transit agenciesAbility to plan, organize and coordinate work with project or study teams Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with a commitment to excellence and high-quality workExcellent report writing and verbal communication skillsInnovative and motivated individual willing to take initiative and interested in seeking solutions to complex problems in a team environmentAdditional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group :Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
