Arcadis IBI Group is seeking a talented and experienced modelling specialist to join its growing transportation planning practice. This is an opportunity to grow your career in transportation planning by taking a leading role in major strategic transportation projects in Canada and worldwide. Most of the things you'll do:Manage/lead transportation studies including supervising staff and undertaking and overseeing project tasks.Travel demand model design, estimation, and application;Modelling and forecasting for strategic plans, transportation master plans, corridor studies;Data collection/survey designData analysis and interpretation;Data synthesis and visualization;Technical mentorship of junior staff;Project management and coordination; andReport and proposal writingAttending client meetings, making presentationsYou'll need to have:Five or more years’ professional experience in transportation model estimation and application;Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, geography, economics, planning, or related field;Familiarity with transportation planning process;Experience with at least one travel demand modelling software package (Emme, Visum, TransCAD, Aimsun, CUBE);Experience with at least one statistical/econometric software packages (Biogeme, SPSS, ALogit);Experience in data analysis, databases, and scripting (MS Access, R, SQL, Python, VBA); Experience in GIS is an assetExperience in the development and application of activity-based travel demand models is an assetExperience in the development and application of meso- and microsimulation models is an assetStrong written and oral communication skills.Additional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group :Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
