As a Senior Urban Planner, you'll will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive development planning experience and, at minimum has provisional membership with OPPI. Preference would be considered to those having previously or currently working within a consulting office setting including overseeing private development planning applications as the lead planner / project manager responsible for advancing applications. The candidate should have demonstrated a strong desire to build a career in planning, project management and business development. Our Global Architecture & Urbanism Division combines the expertise of IBI’s Buildings and Placemaking practice, our Places’ capabilities, and CRTKL’s multi-sector design leadership to offer a diverse range of solutions focusing on human-centric design, sustainability, and technology.Role accountabilities:Oversee planning related projects as the lead planner/project managerAbility to work across other disciplines Responsible for overseeing and assigning work to other planning staff within the firm and fostering the experience and growth of staff Prepare and over-see the completion of Planning Justification and Urban Design Reports and various application forms and related planning research, letters and other planning related tasks as may be requiredMentoring junior staff and encouraging a team environmentExperience providing direct evidence to OLT will be considered an assetBusiness Development with contacts within the planning and land development profession Qualifications and Experience:A Planning degree from an authorized university or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of progressive development planning experienceProvisional Membership with OPPI/CIP.Excellent verbal, written and presentation skillsBusiness development experience for team growthProficiency with Microsoft Office and other planning related software and programs.
