Our Structural Team is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their growing team! This individual can be located out of the Toronro West office. The successful individual will develop and manage projects for the construction of new or modification to existing commercial, industrial and institutional buildings & structures, ensuring conformance with building codes. Perform responsible, professional level foundation & structural analysis, building and structural inspections. This role will be involved in water/wastewater structures and heavy rail/LRT related structures. People and communities thrive when the spaces in which they live, work, move and play are designed and managed in a way that best meets their needs.In Engineering, you'll create some of the world’s most iconic and ground-breaking structures and spaces that transform the world around us, from making journeys easier to opening up public places that bring people together.Role accountabilities:Participate in the design of drawings and specifications and in the analysis of various structures projects building structures and foundations, industrial structures, and civil structures including Concrete Water Retaining Structures and heavy rail/LRT and subway infrastructure projectsConduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codes Provide direction to, and work with, Engineering & CAD staffQualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is an assetBetween 5 to 8 years relevant experience in structural design, preferably in the industrial and commercial sectors; Concrete Water/Wastewater structures, heavy rail/LRT related structures, underground structures experience is desirableRegistered P.Eng or eligible to be registered with PEO (ON)Technical competency in the design of structural building systemsKnowledge and understanding of relevant design standards and codesProficiency and understanding of structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot, SAP2000 is expectedKnowledge of 3D BIM is an asset such as REVIT & NavisworksStrong project management and coordination skills with a strong ability to coordinate effectively with project structural teams.
