Arcadis IBI Group is seeking a Telecommunications Designer based out of any of our California offices in the US! In this role, you will be participating in the design of different systems such as outside plant fibre broadband systems, communications and technology systems, and audio-visual systems. Our California offices are located in San Diego, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, Irvine, Bakersfield and San Jose.We know the world has changed because of COVID-19 and will continue to have a flexible work from home schedule for our great professionals. However, please note that this role will require you to be physically in the state of California given the requirement to conduct site visits as needed.Most Of The Things You’ll Work On:Responsible for the design of outside plant fibre broadband systems, building communication and technology system, and audio-visual systems.Responsible for preparing project deliverables such as technical specifications and memos, reports, cost estimates and design drawings.Responsible for mapping data points into GIS platform. Provide system level support as needed.Coordinate with internal and external project teams and other discipline project teams to obtain project information and to discuss specific design related problemsEnsure on-time and quality deliverables.Assist with proposal preparation to pursue new work.Perform occasional field surveys and inspection work.You'll Need To Have:A certificate or post-secondary diploma in telecommunications, electrical or civil technologist is required as a minimum.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in outside plant fibre/broadband design.Knowledgeable with the design of building communication, technology and audio-visual system would be an asset.Firm knowledge of telecommunications and electrical code related issues and construction practices.Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.Experience in writing technical specification.BICSI RCDD certificate or BICSI OSP certification would be an assetKnowledgeable in GIS environment would be an asset.Strong skills in AutoCAD would be an asset.Familiar with REVIT or willing to learn.Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications.Able to attend site meetings and perform site surveys and inspections.Outstanding teamwork, written and communication skills.Self-motivated.Ability to travel.Valid driver license.Additional InformationWhy you should work for Arcadis IBI Group:Arcadis IBI Group is pleased to provide a competitive benefit package.Our employees will find a design environment where collaboration is at the core of the business.
