Arcadis Toronto office is searching for a Transit Technology Analyst/Specialist at any experience level, with a passion to plan, design, and deploy technology solutions for transit agencies and other shared mobility providers.You will work in multi-disciplinary project teams across North America, including with other offices such as in Atlanta, Boston, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.Sample technology systems that you will help plan, design, and deploy include:Fare collection (such as open payment, smart cards, and mobile apps)Fleet tracking and operations management (getting buses, streetcars, and trains in-service and keeping them on schedule)Customer information (from trip planners to arrival predictions)On-Demand Shared Mobility (multimodal trip integration and microtransit)Business intelligence (data integration, warehouses, and analytics)Security (onboard and in-facilities)Types of work you will be involved in include:Identifying technology solutions to meet client needsDefining an integrated technology vision and a project sequence to enable the transitionDeveloping system requirements and selecting contractorsGuiding system implementation (including reviewing designs and conducting system testing)Helping agencies adapt their processes to take advantage of new technologyIn Management Consultancy, you’ll enhance our clients’ performance by developing asset strategies and plans, and delivering them using information, technology, and behavioural change capabilities.Role accountabilities:Planning technology solutions, through tasks such as conducting needs assessments, leading stakeholder engagement, identifying and evaluating alternatives, preparing schedule and cost estimates, and developing strategic plansDeveloping system specifications and procurement documents, then working with transit agencies to assess and select the best solutionsImplementing solutions through tasks such as managing solution providers, reviewing designs, conducting testing, and providing expert guidanceWorking with colleagues across Arcadis (including planning, data, software, engineering, and architecture professionals) to produce creative ideas and solutionsPreparing project deliverables such as presentations, memos and reportsLeading business development pursuits, representing Arcadis at industry events, and building partnershipsHelping with proposal preparation to pursue new workQualifications and Experience: Passion for improving transit and shared mobility!Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to achieve goals in an innovative, dynamic, and fast paced environmentBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Urban PlanningAbility to work at Toronto office and GTHA client sites when needed (typically 1-2 days per week)Ability to travel outside of GTHA, including across Canada when needed (typically 5% of time)Ability to travel to the USA when needed preferred (typically 5% of time)Additional InformationWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
