Arcadis is seeking a Transportation Planning Lead to join our Integrated Planning Department in our Orange County, CA office.The Transportation Planning Lead will play a key role in our Engineering Consulting Firm's Business Advisory Department, overseeing and leading transportation planning projects. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in transportation planning, project management, and client engagement. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and innovative transportation solutions to our clients.Role Accountabilities:Maintain and build client relationships to help grow the practice to include active transportation, transit planning, multi-modal planning, complete streets studies, traffic impact analysis and parking studies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and innovative transportation solutions to our clients.Lead and manage transportation planning projects from initiation to completion.Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project teams.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and understanding of client needs.Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on transportation planning strategies.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate transportation planning with other engineering disciplines.Mentor and guide junior staff in transportation planning methodologies and best practices.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transportation planning.Apply advanced transportation modeling techniques to assess and optimize transportation systems.Ensure projects adhere to relevant transportation regulations and compliance standards.Work with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations.Required Qualifications:10+ years of increasingly responsible experience, with a mix of public-sector work and private-sector consulting.Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field.Key Skills and Abilities:Have strong experience in transportation planning, project management, and client engagement.Known to Southern California transportation and/or transit agencies as a capable and trusted transportation professional and project manager.A passion to pursue sustainable transportation solutions, working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, architects and transportation technology experts.Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.Strong leadership and project management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in transportation modeling software and GIS tools.Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Planning, or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.Additional InformationWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
