The Role
Due to recent project wins, this practice is growing its healthcare team and looking for a talented Senior Architect to lead high-profile healthcare projects. You’ll have the chance to shape healthcare environments that include state-of-the-art wellness centers, specialized clinical facilities, and large-scale hospital developments. Working closely with clients and end-users, you’ll ensure every space balances clinical functionality with user comfort and aesthetic impact. This role encourages cross-studio collaboration, offering exposure to a range of perspectives and innovative solutions across diverse healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead healthcare projects from concept through to completion, focusing on quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with client objectives.
Engage with clients, user groups, and stakeholders to bring user-centered medical planning and client aspirations to life.
Ensure integration of healthcare standards (such as HTM and HBN) and oversee compliance and approval processes.
Oversee technical detailing and support construction phases to deliver technically sound, high-quality design.
Qualifications and Skills
Qualified Architect with 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in healthcare design.
Proven expertise in client and user engagement, with the ability to manage complex healthcare projects effectively.
Knowledge of healthcare-specific standards and compliance processes, including HTM and HBN.
Proficiency in Revit preferred; experience with ADB, Codebook, Microsoft Access, and Excel is a plus.
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, technical requirements, and statutory approval processes.
Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.
