Key Responsibilities and Skills Building DesignContract administrationSome financial management of projectsAttend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialistsAttend site regularly to monitor progressCarry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)Carry out regular Design ReviewsCo-ordinate with other consultants/specialistsManage a project teamPrepare detailed design drawingsTake a brief and develop into a concept designTroubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA proceduresAble to work with minimum supervisionAble to prepare working drawings and schedules and prepare specificationsAble to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externallyExperience managing small to medium to medium to large projects throughout their lifecycleHigh level working knowledge of UK construction and building lawInnovative approach to design, high level of visualisation skills and an awareness of design style In return we offer a competitive salary and benefit package, flexible working hours and a hybrid working pattern of home/office in a great studio close to transport links.
