Role Overview:
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will lead the technical design and coordination of projects, working closely with project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role will involve overseeing all technical aspects of design and construction, from bespoke detailing to on-site coordination. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, ensuring collaborative success across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the technical design and coordination of residential re-cladding projects across all RIBA stages, with a focus on Stages 4 and 5
Produce and supervise the preparation of technical design documents, including drawings, details, and specifications
Lead design team meetings, produce reports, and contribute to project meetings
Respond to and resolve site queries, attending site visits to ensure quality and compliance with statutory requirements
Manage and mentor junior team members, driving excellence across project deliverables
Skills and Requirements:
7+ years of experience working as a Technologist/Senior Technologist on large residential or commercial projects
Strong technical skills, particularly in developing bespoke construction details
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD (Revit test required for shortlisted candidates)
In-depth knowledge of UK planning processes and building regulations, including recent changes under the Building Safety Act (BSA)
Excellent communication, teamworking skills, and attention to detail
Previous experience with residential re-cladding projects, including high-rise buildings (HRBs), is desirable but not essential
