We are currently seeking a Communications Manager to join our team. As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering the firm's messages to its external and internal audiences in alignment with the firm's business, marketing and public relations strategies. Creates content and delivers the firm's messages to its external and internal audiences in alignment with the firm's business, marketing and communications strategies. Writes effective communications materials, articles and white papers, news releases, project descriptions, social media posts, internal communications, award submittals and presentations. Leads the creative development, design and production of editorial projects. Creates content for HOK.com and the firm's social media network while monitoring digital publishing trends and their impact on the HOK brand. Proactively engages with staff from across the firm to develop new and innovative ideas and content Leads the communication efforts of specific MBUs (i.e. SRE, Healthcare), becoming the in-house ‘expert’ on the media outlets and trends related to these sectors Conducts strategic firmwide communications outreach with RBU Marketing staff to share information/opportunities for local media engagement; provides content and skills training as appropriate Manages the production of visual materials, including videos and social media content. Experience developing and strengthening relationships with colleagues, corporate executives and news media. Existing media contacts strongly preferrred. Previous experience within architecture/design, construction and commercial real estate industries is desirable, but not required. Experience with online content management systems (such as WordPress), email campaign systems (such as MailChimp) and social media is required. Experience with online media databases/surveillance is beneficial. Photo and video shooting and editing skills are beneficial. Basic HTML knowledge is beneficial. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or related field. 8 plus years of related professional experience. The reasonably expected salary range for this position in Denver, CO is $110,000-$120,000. The reasonably expected salary range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $105,000-$115,000. The reasonably expected salary range for this position in New York, NY is $112,000-$120,000. The reasonably expected salary range for this position in Seattle, WA is $110,000-$120,000.
