The role will focus on meeting and exceeding our client’s goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative and integrated workplace solutions to improve business performance. Gensler’s workplace services are provided along a continuum from initial data collection to transformative strategies. Our interaction with clients begins at the outset of the client engagement and extends through post occupancy evaluations. The successful candidate will assist the Consulting Practice Leader to participate actively in developing client relationships, tenders, delivering projects and following through with clients post-occupancy. What You Will DoConducting or coordinating user research, real estate strategy, change management, programming, space planning, design standards, building appraisal, site selection, advisory services for commercial development, and consultation coordination.Developing processes and methodologies with which to understand and analyze quantitative and qualitative aspects of space planning, occupancy and workplace performance.Research, organize and compile market sector and industry expertise and translates findings into client-specific strategies that address strategic business goals specifically in the areas of real estate and facilities.Delivering strategic workplace services to clients Meeting and exceeding clients’ goals and objectives regarding the development of innovative and integrated workplace solutionsConducting or coordinating user research, real estate strategy, change management, programming, space planning, design standards, building appraisal, site selection, advisory services for commercial developmentDeveloping and working with design standards, site selection, and consultation coordination.Partnering with designers, to inform the development of design concepts, blocking and stacking and space planning – all with the goal of informing excellent and effective workplace design and implementation.Our consultants support each other on a regional and global basis, and it is anticipated that your role will require project-related travel on occasion. Your QualificationsAt least a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Urban Planning or another related fieldMinimum 5 years prior experience in workplace consulting or interior design.A strong portfolio of innovative past strategic workplace client engagements A blend of both analytic and creative problem solving skillsAbility to problem-find and problem-solve, formulate cultural and user insights and develop strategic solutionsExperience in change management (and subject matter expertise in change management theory and methodologies) or an allied field will be favourably consideredAbility to understand form and design language but equally be engaged in exploring broad, undefined problem areas and be able to articulate points-of-view about relevant client challengesAbility to clearly articulate concepts and ideas in easily understood terms by non-experts is criticalExperience in implementing flexible working strategies is highly desiredA collaborative, team-oriented mindset and be proactive in partnering with colleagues with various levels and types of experience to deliver strategic services to clientsA proven track record of communicating at a high level: drawing insights from users and cultural trends, creating frameworks, expressing compelling solutionsGood presentation skills are requiredAn acute understanding of the value of design in supporting successful businesses outcomes and organizational transformationLife at GenslerAt Gensler, we are as committed to enjoying life as we are to delivering best-in-class design.
