Perkins&Will Denver is seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and collaborative individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience to our growing Denver studio and our firm-wide Digital Practice group as a Design Applications Technician. To join us you should have: General familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications. Some experience in application customization through programming and scripting. General aptitude and comfort level with training and technical support, both one-on-one and in-group settings. Strong communication skills; written, oral, and graphic representation. High-level of proficiency leveraging Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper in the architectural production process, including the ability to administer, configure and maintain the application. LEED GA within 6 months of hire. Active involvement in AXP or starting the ARE process preferred. What will you Do? As a Design Application Technician, you will: Collaborate with and report to the studios Digital Practice Manager. Collaborate with Design Teams to develop project-specific implementation strategies. Act as ongoing project consultant to ensure success. Ensure Quality Assurance with project teams to maintain modeling quality and fidelity, adherence to firmwide modeling and information workflows, and continuity of information across applications. Coordinate applications support with our IT infrastructure group and firmwide helpdesk and provide Digital Design support to designers. Conduct continuing education workshops and assists with curriculum development, participate in office and firmwide planning, relative to design technology innovation and implementation. Experience all phases of the architectural design process and have a commitment and passion for learning new design application technologies and strategies.
